What is Kokume
Kokume is a strategy game played on the real-world map. You control a hero who moves wherever you move — the game tracks your position via GPS. You build in your surroundings, gather resources, train an army and conquer regions that correspond to the real forests, fields, towns and counties around you.
Movement and range
Most actions are tied to your physical location. You can only build, collect resources or attack things within range — measured in hundreds of metres and growing with the level of your buildings. When the GPS signal is inaccurate, location-based actions are temporarily blocked until your position settles.
First steps
- Build your Base. The main building of your realm — you only have one. It produces basic food and wood and stores resources directly in your player storage.
- Follow the main quests. The main story line is accepted automatically and teaches you everything important step by step. Not sure what to do next? Open your quests.
- Start gathering. Build a lumberjack hut and other gathering buildings — every resource is best gathered in a different type of landscape.
- Choose a faction. At level 2 the Path of Power quest asks you to pick one of three factions. The choice is permanent, so pick one that fits your play style.
Map controls
Drag to pan the map, pinch to zoom, and use the follow button to return to your hero. Your own buildings, other players, resource regions and world events are colour-coded on the map.
