Training
Units are trained at the barracks. Training costs resources and time, runs in a queue, and can be cancelled — half of the cost is refunded. Your army size is capped by the population limit: each barracks and its levels raise it. Larger units (such as the knight) take up more slots than a common soldier.

Units in combat
Units accompany your hero into fights and shield them — they absorb damage first. They also form the defense of your towers: place them on the grid in the defense editor and they will fight according to their range and abilities when an enemy attacks. See Combat & Defense for details.
